Faith Formation
Guidelines and Expectations
1. SACRAMENTS
At least two years of formation and active participation is required to receive First Communion/Confirmation. To assume adequate understanding of the sacraments both students and parents need to be involved simultaneously.
2. PARENTS
Encourage participation at Mass… oversee the learning of prayers to each grade level … follow the progress each week as children bring home papers… communicate with your child’s teacher…a visit to the classroom often…stay connected with the learning process… attend parent’s meetings… create an atmosphere in the family that is conducive to Christian living and foster the presence of God
3. ATTENDANCE
Good attendance is vital to your child’s growth and progress in the learning of our religion. Therefore, only 3 absences are permitted. To insure safety please call us when your child is sick or unable to attend.
4. DISCIPLINE
Students are with us only 27 hours per year… therefore we can’t afford to waste time when and if students become disrupted. Parents will be called in, when help with this matter becomes necessary.
5. CLASS
Please know that we consider the availability of the teachers. Your understanding in this matter is important to insure small classes and the quality of the learning.
6. BIBLES
Bibles are used in the confirmation program. Students, who damage them in any way, must purchase another copy.
7. CONCERNS
Questions regarding the program should be presented and addressed to one of the priests or to Mr. Correia.
7. NOTICES
Because of the high cost of mailing, notices throughout the year will be sent home by students and placed in our church bulletin.
8. TUITION
$20.00 for the first child, and $10.00 for each additional child. Please know this covers only a small portion of the projected cost of our religious program. However, if any family is unable to pay, please notify Father or Mrs. Saraiva. This fee should be paid as soon as possible.
Cancellations of classes are broadcast on
